Hello I am Keith Lewis, Artistic and Creative Founder of keithlewisphotoworks, to me Photography is Art, The same as my Poems, short Stories or Drawings. I see things a little different. Photographically it started when I was 6 or 7 and would go watch my father in our back yard Darkroom, Do Magic. Turning a blank piece of paper into a photograph by dipping it into three trays of (water) I was Hooked. No matter which industry I worked in, Graphic Arts, Aero Space, Electronics, Custom Woodworking/Cabinet Making or as a Professional Chef/Baker, I tried to incorporate Photography into the job when I could. Attended Professional Photography School on the GI Bill, with Master Photographer/Instructors who were Working in the Industry in the early 1970s (Yes the 70s). I had Mentoring Sessions with World Class Photographers like Melvin Sokolsky (Fashion in a Bubble series). I used the knowledge Gained to work with Film cameras to get the best pictures possible, then Into the Darkroom for hours using B&W or Color for the look I wanted from the Negatives, Slides and Prints, marketing those results and selling the prints to Retail Stores and Clients. Now with Digital Cameras and Software, it is limitless in being able to blend Art and Photography into Artography a Subtle or Extreme beautiful mix. This site Contains a variety of both.
In 2009 a fire destroyed my Photography Equipment and all of the Negatives, Movies and Slides, and Nearly all the Prints I had taken around the World from the late 1950s to 2009, So starting Anew. Incorporating Poetry, Artwork and Photography where I can.
Thank You for your Time, Keith Lewis, Artist, Photographer, Artographer.
